  2. Aisling Burnand Award

Aisling Burnand Award

The Aisling Burnand Award is in honour of our previous CEO, who passed away in 2022. Aisling left money to AMRC and, as members were always her priority, we want to honour her by using this in a way we know she'd approve of - to celebrate our members.

Find out about winning entries from previous years below.

We're pleased to announce that Yorkshire Cancer Research is the winner of the Aisling Burnand Award 2025!

The set of entries was exceptionally strong this year, showcasing many impressive examples of joint working between AMRC members.

Read more about the winning entry in our news story.

This year, AMRC member charities were invited to submit their best examples of joint working, to win a trophy, £150 for training or equipment, and £50 worth of food/drink to celebrate your win with your team.

We were looking for instances of our charities working together to share, apply and strengthen best practice in research. This could be co-hosting events, developing tools, sharing resources or anything else that’s helped to share learning between those in the research community.
