In response to the publication of the The Innovation Ecosystem Programme Report, AMRC's Chief Executive Nicola Perrin said:

“Patients shouldn’t have to wait for proven and cost-effective treatments and technologies to transform their lives. But to make this a reality, research and innovation must become part of the fabric of the NHS. This will require a concerted effort, and the Innovation Ecosystem Report rightly concludes that leadership and culture change are essential.

"We’re pleased to see that charities are recognised for their role in driving innovation, something we championed as part of the advisory group. We hope that the report’s recommendations will be reflected in the upcoming 10 Year Health Plan, along with clear steps for implementation.”
