You can find some examples below. Shared Commitment to Public Involvement In March 2022, AMRC, in collaboration with funders, regulators and research organisations across the UK signed up to a shared commitment to improve public involvement in research which we hope will help bring about changes that will drive up standards in health and social care research. Other signatories were: Health Research Authority, National Institute for Health Research, the Academy of Medical Sciences, the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, Cancer Research UK, Health and Care Research Wales, Health and Social Care Northern Ireland, Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, National Coordinating Centre for Public Engagement, NHS Research Scotland, Universities UK, UK Research and Innovation and Arc North East and North Cumbria. You can read the statement below. Shared commitment to public involvement The shared commitment to public involvement, our organisational commitments and our briefings on patient voice. Charities Research Involvement Group The Charities Research Involvement Group (CRIG) is a group of over 35 charities, including AMRC, who come together four times a year to share learning and best practice for involvement. We also work together to develop resources and tools to support researchers and people affected by health conditions to work together. CRIG is part of a broader network called the Shared Learning Group on Involvement. You can learn more about both groups by visiting their website. INVISIBLE film This film explains why we need more diverse voices involved in health research. Eight health charities, including AMRC and six member charities, came together to work with Egality Health, two community organisations, and eight people with lived experience to co-produce this awareness raising film. Find out more about the film and those who were involved in making it on Egality Health's website. Manage Cookie Preferences
